Banks grew up hunting and fishing in and around the small east Alabama town of Hatchechubbee. For several generations his family was involved in that area in timber, agriculture and cattle operations. With degrees in business and law from Auburn University and The University of Alabama, he spent 32 years representing landowners in their property matters. For 30 years Banks has owned and operated Homestead Farm, a purebred Black Angus cattle business. During that time he and his family have lived on the farm. He has personally managed and maintained the farm and other real estate for cattle, timber, wildlife and fish production. Having been involved with the founding of a bank and serving on its board, he has insight helpful in financing land transactions. Banks and Margo live in Opelika, Alabama and have been married 40 years. They have 5 children (including a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law) and 3 grandchildren.

Hale has been with Tutt Real Estate since January, 2004. He is an associate broker and says he feels blessed to be associated with this company and the people that work here. Kelso Hamilton

Kelso grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and has been obsessed with the outdoors his whole life. He was fortunate to grow up hunting on his family land in West Alabama and this enabled him to pursue his love for the outdoors. His great grandfather, B.A. Cogle, bought and sold land and timber his whole life and his heritage inspired Kelso to pursue a career in real estate selling recreational property. Kelso graduated from Auburn University in 2007 and began his real estate career with a commercial real estate developer based in Atlanta, Georgia. After working in Atlanta for two years, he knew this wasn't the route he wanted to take, and decided to move back home to Montgomery. Recently, he was given the opportunity to come on board with Tutt Land Company to pursue his dream of selling land. After a meeting with Walter Tutt and Hale Smith, he knew this was the real estate company he wanted to be a part of.


Mike M. Breedlove, Jr.

Mike is a registered Forester in Alabama and specializes in Forest Management. He is a 1989 graduate of Auburn University and recieved a B.S. degree in Forest Management. Both he and his wife Cammie live in Jackson, AL where they both grew up. They have two children, Jordan and Logan. Mike is also a Certified Prescribed Burn Manager, has a Alabama Pest Applicators License and is a Qualified Inspector by the American Tree Farm System. His hobbies include: kayak fishing both fresh and saltwater, turkey hunting, bow hunting, and creating one-of-a-kind custom turkey, deer and duck calls in his home shop. S. Todd Lowery

S. Todd Lowery is a Alabama Registered Forester and Sales Associate. He has a B.S. degree in Forest Management from Auburn University (1997). Todd has worked with Lower Dixie Timber Company since 2001. He has an extensive knowledge of timber markets in south central Alabama and Mississippi. Buying timber and managing timberland allows him to keep up with current prices and new land management techniques. These are valuable attributes when evaluating property. Todd is also a avid hunter and fisherman who appreciates what a well managed property can produce. He lives in Butler which is in Choctaw County, Alabama with his wife and two children.


Sean Brown

Sean is a resident of Trussville, Alabama and a 1999 graduate of University of Alabama Birmingham. He received a degree in business management and finance, and was a four-year member of the UAB football team. He and his wife, Brooke, are the parents of three sons: three-year-old twins, Ford and Brady, and Walker, who is three months old. As a young child, Sean developed a passion for the outdoors and all sports including fishing and hunting. He has managed his family’s farm for fifteen years. These factors contribute to his enjoyment of the buying and selling of recreational and hunting properties. Sean has the necessary knowledge to assist landowners with wildlife management through the use of Quality Deer Management (QDM) practices. After assisting many landowners with land and timber management, he started Tutt Real Estate in 1991. The real estate company merged with Lower Dixie Timber Co., Inc in 1994. Walter currently holds real estate licenses in Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Walter sat on the Board of directors for the Alabama Forestry Association and has been presented conservation awards by the USDA Soil Conservation Service. The Tutt family land, under his management, won the 2006 Helene Moseley Award for the southwest area of the state. Walter has assisted landowners in developing thousands of acres into premier recreational tracts. Walter’s specialty is bringing buyers and sellers together in brokering recreational and timberland tracts. Walter, Marni and their children, Wallace and Camilla, live in Demopolis, Alabama.
